At Fjärdskär next to Replot Bridge there’s a grill hut open for everyone to use. There’s also firewood in a shed that all can use. Thank you to the municipality of Korsholm for that! Last night seven of my colleagues and myself gathered there for some grilling. We had lots of great laughs, ate grilled sausages and drank some wine. The weather gods blessed us with a warm and sunny August evening (today rain is pouring down).
Late in the evening the rest of the gang jumped into a cab and went to Vaasa. And I on the other hand jumped up on my bike and biked the 16 kilometers back home on a very dark road. Crazy? No, but not the easiest of tasks at midnight. But it was nice to see the stars above while biking through dark forests and I was completely left with my own thoughts. So physically challenging, but relaxing at the same time. According to Sports Tracker my average speed was 19,8 km/hour. Quite ok considering it was my first longer bike ride this year and since the landscape isn’t exactly flat either.
