We’re back home after five days on the road. It’s always good to go away for a short journey, to see new things and to get a break from your everyday life. Edvin was on his best behavior all week and his grandparents loved to have him over. Stiina and I got a two days mini-vacation in Turku. Well deserved and much needed!
Those of you who have followed my Instagram feed have seen these pictures before, but maybe you can live with the fact that you have to see them again! On Monday evening we went to watch the sun set into the sea at Kallo in Pori. I made acquaintance with this place and it’s such a beautiful place.
On Tuesday we left Edvin with his grandparents and drove down to Turku. We also made a short stop at Old Rauma. The small and quaint shops hadn’t opened yet when we came there so we’ll have to go back some other time. In Turku we did some shopping, walked by Aura river and ate good. We swimmed in the hotel swimming pool and of course we enjoyed the much awaited hotel breakfast.
On our way back from Turku we stopped at Ikea in Raisio. As always the cart was filled to the brim when we came to the cash desk. The most important buy was a headboard for our bed. I’ll show you pictures when it’s there.
Back in Pori we visited relatives and of course we checked out the local flea markets. No major findings, but at least we bought lots of toy cars to Edvin. We realized in Pori that he needs some new toys to play with and you should have seen the joy on his face this morning when we gave them to him!
Now we’re back home and it feel great to be home again. Home sweet home! The weather has been close to perfect all week and today it seems to continue. Hope you all have a great weekend! Take care.
